General Care

AVOID NASTIES

AVOID NASTIES

To keep the brilliant shine of any gemstone including diamonds and moissanites, avoid letting your stone come in contact with any harsh chemicals including:

Hand sanitiser, bleach, deep cleaners, solvents, chlorine (in mould cleaners), perfumes, lotions & creams

KEEP IT COMFY

KEEP IT COMFY

Keep your ring or other jewellery piece nice and comfy by storing separately in a cool, dry place, in a soft, anti-tarnish pouch or the original box.  This prevents scratches, as these stones can be scratched by another diamond or moissanite.

RING TO THE GYM

To keep your gold, silver or platinum jewellery in best condition, avoid wearing your jewellery (especially rings) during following activities:

Sports, housework, using tools, gardening, carrying hard/heavy objects, hard grip (eg: weights training)

PRO CLEAN

PRO CLEAN

Once or twice a year, invest in a professional clean. It will remove the residue of dirt and oils that can dull the shine of your stone. It also helps manage the structural integrity of the setting, making sure the prongs are secure, the stone is in tact and no parts are loose or missing.

In between times, you can clean your ring or jewellery at home.

SOAPY SOAK

SOAPY SOAK

Fill a small bowl with warm water. Add a few drops of mild, gentle dishwashing soap to create a soapy solution.

Immerse the diamond jewellery in the soapy water solution. Allow it to soak for a few minutes to loosen any dirt or residue.

BRUSH

BRUSH

Take a clean, soft toothbrush and gently scrub the diamond, paying attention to the areas around the setting. Be cautious not to use excessive force to avoid scratching.

Rinse using a gentle stream of water.

DRY TIME

DRY TIME

Allow the diamond jewellery to air dry or use a soft lint-free cloth to pat it dry. Avoid using paper towels or rough fabrics that could scratch the diamond.

INSPECT

INSPECT

After drying, inspect the jewellery for any remaining residue. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process until the diamond is sparkling clean.

Once clean, store your diamond jewellery in a safe and dry place, away from other pieces to prevent scratches.
